Trying out a new lens on our hike.

Today, I had a fun photo session with the dogs, using a new lens I got for my birthday!  What a wonderful day!

In memorium for Cleo

It is with great sadness that I say goodbye to another of my long time hiking buddies.  Cleo put her heart into everything she did, and it finally wore out.  She was enthusiastic about all things in life.  She was willing to try anything that might be gastrically pleasing, even when it proved otherwise!  Best swimming buddy, just watch your back, arms and legs.  She loved to put her head on your leg, and get petted until your hand was tired, then she'd lay on your foot.  Twelve years don't seem long enough to enjoy all the love she had to offer.  Enjoy your romps beyond the rainbow bridge, Cleo.  Say "Hi" to all the other dear ones there for me.

New boarder, and a cool start to summer!

Today we hiked out Rocky Lake trails.  Our newest dog boarder is Henry, the Golden Doodle.  He certainly is a happy, go lucky character.  His enthusiasm is contagious!  He helped me photograph some lovely Lady Slippers, and even avoided trampling them.
