It was a great summer day to go play at the lake. Richard and Andrea joined us for a swim and lots of stick throwing. They were the labs favourite people. Monkey had a "Mini Me" in Roo. Roo's first time swimming was captured on film, he was a natural. The lake was followed by blackberry picking, of which several of the dogs picked for themselves, including Roo.
Our newest hiker is a cutie!
Roo has just started hiking with us this week. He has the energy and personality to fit right in. He hasn't gotten brave enough to swim yet, but he loves to wade. He divides his time between looking for doggy friends and finding something to put in his mouth! Who couldn't love that face!
Trying out a new lens on our hike.
Today, I had a fun photo session with the dogs, using a new lens I got for my birthday! What a wonderful day!
Grooming session
While Jovi stayed overnight for boarding, I took the comb to her, and this it the result. A thinner, lighter weight Sheltie! LOL She was really good for her beauty treatment. She was a pretty girl to begin with, and now she's even prettier!
In memorium for Cleo
It is with great sadness that I say goodbye to another of my long time hiking buddies. Cleo put her heart into everything she did, and it finally wore out. She was enthusiastic about all things in life. She was willing to try anything that might be gastrically pleasing, even when it proved otherwise! Best swimming buddy, just watch your back, arms and legs. She loved to put her head on your leg, and get petted until your hand was tired, then she'd lay on your foot. Twelve years don't seem long enough to enjoy all the love she had to offer. Enjoy your romps beyond the rainbow bridge, Cleo. Say "Hi" to all the other dear ones there for me.
