Today's hike we escaped the rain, but wallowed in sticks. All the dogs seemed to enjoy the game of chasing, chewing and rolling with sticks. A fun day had by all!
We have a new boarder, as in Border Terrier!
Duke is staying with us as his owner travels to the States. He has fitted in well. He's sound asleep beside me, after a busy day hiking.
Day at the Beach
It was a warm and sunny last day of Winter, so we headed to the beach, at Admirals Cove in Bedford. The dogs loved it! We found two different balls, that were coveted by all the dogs. One didn't make it, as it was an inflated orange, kid's ball (popped). The only downside, was that a couple of the dogs didn't think that salt water tasted all that bad. Hopefully they don't have the runs! The rest enjoyed chasing and chewing driftwood sticks.
New Boarder
This is Jersey, a sweet Sharpei/Pug cross. She is staying with me while her owner travels in warmer climate. She does enjoy all the dogs and is a wonderful example of a small dog in great shape.
If you can't beat it, join it!
We might as well enjoy the frozen lakes and snow, and go skijoring with the dogs. I missed the photo op with the outgoing dogs, as Brody and Monkey did an awesome job, and we were going a little too fast for me to feel comfortable pulling out my phone. The girls, Freya and Nutella, did a more relaxed pace on the second half, but did a wonderful job!
