Close encounter of the porcupine kind

It's been awhile, but I guess overdue, that one of the dogs would get up close and personal with a porcupine.  Today, it was Monkey.  We were riding with Phoenix and a group of four dogs.  Monkey immediately came over for help.  I dismounted and removed the quills.  But, not before taking a couple of pictures to show his Mom and Dad!  Poor Monkey!  He was very patient while I removed them.  The other dogs just got muddy, then wet and finally tired.

Freya you got mud on your face, a big disgrace, somebody better put you back into the lake!

By using this leash and leading Phoenix, we can all get to the trailhead safely.
